World Cup of Poker V

The World Cup of Poker is back. The planet’s most fiercely contested team event returns to PokerStars, giving you the chance to represent your country and qualify for the live Final, which will be filmed for TV. The event will be held as part of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) in The Bahamas, January 5-10, 2009.

The World Cup of Poker V will see players from all around the world compete for national pride, bragging rights, and $290,000 in cash prizes! The top nine teams will win money, and $100,000 will go to the Champions, which equates to $20,000 per team member.

You can win the chance to play for your country through Tournament Leader Board rankings and qualification tournaments. Players compete first to represent their national or regional team in a series of freerollswhich decide the team line-ups, and then the teams battle it out in a series of Divisional and/or National play-offs to claim their spots at the live Final.

The nine final teams receive all-expenses-paid trips to play live during The PCA, at the Atlantis Resort and Casino, in the Bahamas this January. There, the teams will compete in tournaments to determine the PokerStars World Cup of Poker V Champions.

Va multumesc mult de tot pentru stire.Aseara m-am calificat in primii 9 pentru finala de maine [Moustache53] .Imi pare rau ptr. Butu ca nu s-a calificat, mai ales ca statea bine cu fisele.

Si eu m-am calificat vineri seara alaturi de Iulian pt. finala de 18 de maine la ora 14. Alaturi de noi in primi 9 s-a calificat si Mihai Manole. Azi la 14 a fost inca un free ca cel de vineri unde alti 9 insi sau calificat pt. maine. Primi 2 din 18 intra in echipa romaniei alaturi de primi 2 din tournament leader boardul pokerstars pt. jucatorii din romania urmand ca echipa sau cei de la pokerstars sa nominalizeze inca un jucator pt. a forma echipa de 5, apoi echipa va juca impotriva altor 10 echipe pt. un loc la WCOP in Bahamas, wow !!!

Deci Division Europe III vineri 7 decembrie la ora 14 sau 15.

The 25 Billionth Mega Milestone Hand

With the focus of the 25 Billion Bash being on the 25 Billionth Hand we deal, it is only right that we award the biggest prizes of all to the players who participate in this historic hand. The winner of the 25 Billionth Hand will be awarded a staggering $100,000 cash prize, as well as ALL of the following; an EPT Monte Carlo package, a PokerStars Caribbean Adventure package, a World Series main event package and a WCOOP Main Event ticket. All in all, the winner of the 25 Billionth Hand dealt on PokerStars will claim a prize worth more than $150,000!
